Kendell Doors & Hardware, Inc. is a material supplier to the commercial construction industry, seeking a motivated individual for an Aftermarket Sales position.

Position Summary: Responsible for aftermarket sales activities, from lead generation through product supply in the Madison area. Develop and implement agreed upon sales strategy to meet organization objectives of expanding customer base and achieving sales goals. Works as part of the sales team for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals aligned with the organization’s objectives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Respond to product and client inquiries as well as creating lead generation in assigned territory (Twin Cities metro area)

Visit client sites and complete walk-throughs to take field measurements, assess needs, etc.

Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge to select the correct products or assist clients in making product selections, based on need, product specifications, and applicable regulations.

Generate quotes and sales for new and existing clients

Prepare accurate quotes and sales orders, following company procedures and policies for mark-ups, GPM's, and discounts.

Provide superior customer service to clients and establish long term business relationships.

Provide accurate information for delivery/installation of products and/or service work.

Resolve any issues or problems after supplying product and to provide ongoing support as needed.

Identify sales gaps, missed opportunities, and areas for improvement. Continual review and modification of sales strategy as needed.

Plan and execute annual individual sales strategy for assigned territory; targeted market areas, generating new client accounts, and promoted KENDELL services, divisions, and departments

Increase organization visibility in the market

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Minimum 5 years sales experience, preferably industry/distributor related

Valid driver's license and be insurable to drive under company insurance policy

Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

Strong interpersonal skills, customer relations skills, and negotiation skills to work with a variety of individuals, manage various situations, and to influence and persuade

Customer service oriented

Perform and apply basic math activities/principles (add, subtract, multiply, divide, percent, decimals, fractions)

Able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet changing deadlines and special requests

Work well under minimal supervision and with a team

Perform daily tasks in alignment with organizational core values
